Interesting link, fortunately I have found uninstalling Java has had no affect on my computer, it appears I don't need it for anything.

I am glad that they are making those changes, but I too don't have java on my new desktop and thus far have not missed it. The only thing that I have that mentioned java was open office but they provide a way to get by with out it.

Installed both 32/64 bit java in win8 ie10, then disabled it in browser add-0ns. Seems smart and has only asked a couple times in about a week if I want to run a java webpage item. Which magically/appropriately were ok or desired to run. Quick and simple popup message box with what it is info.
