dcs COOKTOP

DualvansMommyNovember 17, 2012

I've been researching on an ideal 30" wide gas cooktop and so far with recommendations from you, blue star keeps coming up.

However, the nearest dealer for bluestar is 100 miles away with service area even further out, if i ran into issues.

so the sales rep at my local applicance store recommended dcs cooktop for me; model number CDU304N as it fits all of my criteria i told the rep i wanted from a cooktop.

30" wide, high enough bBTU with 15K, slow simmer option and sealed burners.

any thoughts on DCS??

I have a DCS AG range and I love it. Sealed burners are much frowned upon by the open burner fanboys here on GW, but the DCS design works very well, and are much easier to clean than most. The flame pattern stays under my pots, even on max settings. I have 4 17.5KBTU and 2 12.5KBTU burners. The big ones are fine for wokking and searing, and all of them can maintain a low simmer.
