Large Falk pieces -- too heavy?

saydeAugust 21, 2009

Do not yet have any copper but have several All Clad and Calphalon in large sizes. I don't have any issues with the weight of any of these but have read several warnings about how heavy Falk copper is. The 11 inch fry pan is about 11 pounds. Does anyone have any of the Falk (or 2.5 mm copper in other brands) in large sizes and are they manageable? My 11 inch All Clad fry pan and sauteuse get a lot of use, but thinking may-be I should drop down to the 9.5 or 8 inch in the Falk just because of the weight. Any opinions ?

Sayde, I cannot answer your question, but I suggest you post on, where there is a lot of discussion about Falk Culinaire, and you should get some responses. Also do a search on that website for "Falk Culinaire", and you'll come up with a lot of threads. I am linking just one thread below, but there are a number of others.
