Brand new CorningWare made in Corning, New York, USA

joeekaitisJune 28, 2008

Just in time for the 4th of July, World Kitchen is launching CorningWare SimplyLite, American-made bakeware made from Vitrelle, the same glass and ceramic composite used in Corelle Livingware.

It won't go under the broiler or on the stove, but it's what CorningWare was always meant to be: a real freezer-to-oven-to-table alternative to stoneware and other glass bakeware. And it's even made in CORNING, New York!

Dare we hope for the return of Pyroceram, as well? Probably not, but hey, it's a step in the right direction for World Kitchen.

What a clever idea, having a product made in the same country where most people will buy it, whoever heard of such a thing!?! Let's hope, with rising fuel prices, it's the beginning of a trend.
