How do you care for bamboo cutting boards?
I'm compassionate about them.
I massage mine everyday as well...but I was looking for some more conventional methods ;)
I've had one for about 4 months and I don't do anything special to it. I just wash it with the usual hot water and detergent and use a bleach solution on it fairly often.
Jeez, I didn't know it needed to be massaged with a tender, loving hand!
Anyway I don't like it very much. It's too hard, doesn't have the "feel" that my old maple board has with my knives. I wish I had purchased a maple board in the size that I wanted instead. When I got this bamboo board it was just the exact size that I was looking for and it called out to me from Marshall's and I thought it looked so nice! Shoot.
