Is my 4 1/2 qt. calphalon pots and pans saucepan any good?
I found this 4 1/2 quart saucepan from calphalon at a yard sale. It looks hard-anodized and has bumps on the bottom. At first I bought it as a temporary pan to make pasta in, until I decided on and purchased some good cookware. Well, now I'm wondering if this is good cookware. I'd never heard of the pots and pan series - does anybody know about it? And what are the bumps on the bottom for?
As I said, I was going to just boil water for pasta in this - and toss it in the dishwasher. But maybe it's a good pot and should be taken better care of? Maybe I should buy another cheap pot for boiling water for pasta. Any opinions?
