5 Pounds of Rice. What size counter top storage container?

jaxoJanuary 9, 2011

What size container fits the contents of a 5 lb bag of dry, uncooked rice without being much too large for it? They size them by how many liquid quarts they hold.

I'd like it to be able to hold the rice plus have a little extra room to fit the rice measuring cup.

Well, OK....but don't understand need to be precise. Most people get what fits on their counters, fill it, and store the remainder elsewhere. Same with flour, sugar, etc.

Whatever floats your boat. Anyway here it is....see link.
