How to delete an MPEG-4 video file

sfhillOctober 27, 2011

I have Windows Vista Home Premium. When I right click to delete an MPEG-4 video file, I have to confirm to delete the file. Even after doing this, it can't be deleted. These files are directed to be opened in Real Player. Any idea about how to delete them? Thanks sfhill

I'd try deleting them in Safe Mode, it maybe because real player is running as it usually does at start up. If you boot to safe mode real player won't be running there. Try it an see.

Restart the computer, hold down the F8 key during restart, wait for the Windows Advanced boot options menu to appear, select Safe Mode from the list, hit enter. Try deleting the file.
