Saucepot to big?

I purchased a Circulon Elite 8-Quart Wide Covered Saucepot, it exceeds the size of the electric burner by two inches, will this cause a problem when cooking with this pot?

If it was a skillet, you might be disappointed from time to time. Assuming it will be used mostly for liquidy (is that a word?) preparations, you'll be just fine. Don't worry about it. You'll probably learn to like the width for faster reductions.
