Heated laminate floor over existing ceramic tile?

chelsercatDecember 21, 2013

Is it possible to install a heating element on the existing ceramic tile and then use an "approved for heat" wood laminate on top? We really don't want to have to go through the tear-out of the existing tile! Thanks for any input!

Laminate is not a suitable surface for radiant heat nor for bathroom use. If you want radiant heat, you have to tear things out and start over.
