Do I need to remove this wall tile --- 'Removed'

twalkmanDecember 20, 2013

Well, I started removing the wall tile after the first 3 responses to my original posting (before the 'leave it' votes started coming in).

The drywall work was a pain as the tile continued around the vanity. Note: the tile had freckles so it was more dated than appeared in the photo.

Here's an after picture. I think it looks better.

p.s. the countertop came with the vanity. It's not what I would have picked.

Here is the original picture with the tile. Also note the tile towel rack.

Your hard work paid off. Nice.

Did not know it was speckled - so yes, good decision. That dated it versus plain white.

Nice job. It has a much more cohesive look. The wall paint is just the right color.

Good drywalling job! What is going on under the window? Are you planning on putting some sort of decorative edge there?

--> Yes, I just had to go buy a piece of matching trim to make the apron for under the window.
