Catalyzed lacquer or brush on water based lacquer 4 stained doors

Which is best for interior stained doors and paneling? One is done on site, the other in a shop. Thanks.

Catalyzed is always best. Oil based catalyzed if you can get it in your area. Most mom and pop shops can't anymore due to EPA regs.
