Glass tile look greenish

elodie852November 23, 2013

I have installed a shower in a bathroom that was already tiled with white glass mosaic. I found the exact same mosaic and installed them using glass tile thinset. However, once installed the new tiles look green. The existing tiles are pure white, however on the junction line with the new tiles they also look a bit green...
So I gather they must have been used with a different type of thinset. But now my shower is all tiled... what to do? half of the shower is white, the other green!

Did you install the tiles on greenboard or cement board?

Did the possibly make glass original tile from Starphire or low iron glass, these would be ultra clear where normal glass has a green tint to it?

Has it been grouted yet? How do you know they're the exact same tiles?
