Radiant floor heating under tub?

cathie2029November 21, 2012

To the experts out there...we have a small 5x8 bathroom-with the tub on the outside wall. The tub we bought is a kohler archer, but the drop in style (so that we can tile the front skirt) anywhoooo, has anyone put radiant heating under the tub? I'm worried that the acrylic will loose heat and be cold in the winter, so I was hoping that the empty space behind the backrest can have some warmth circulating around from the floor. yay , nay?

I have heard that radiant floor heating is not to go under the tub.
