New CornuFe plaque/top accessory, any opinions?

GoosterSeptember 10, 2013

It appears La Cornue is marketing a new accessory -- a (pseudo) french plaque/french top that fits over the center burner on the 1908, 90 and 110. It is like a griddle accessory, but looks like a french plaque.

Has anyone with one of these ranges seen this yet? It seems to me a bit of a kludge, as the burner that is covers is more powerful and likely different than what is under a normal french top.

I haven't contacted a dealer yet -- based on the price of their other accessories I'm very fearful.
