Windows Live Mail

bus_driverJuly 4, 2013

Windows Live Mail, Windows 7. The email program recently stopped responding to any of the things on the toolbar that has font, BOLD, Italics, underline and color. The symbols were there but grayed out. My attempts to get it working have now messed it up further-- that toolbar is gone and I can't get it back.
My Internet Tech Support was no help-- but much frustration-- and they told me to uninstall and reinstall.
I do not want to lose my contacts list, so went to the site linked.
It shows to do this, among other things: "3. Click Export on the ribbon." I can't find that Export nor any "ribbon".
Hoping that you can help me restore the program in an easier process-- or by some means.

The ribbon is the tool bar above the contacts, click on home.

After I click on select .csv. I am lost, it just takes me to my PC not my email contacts.
