Storing new BlueStar Range

FarmerMcLarrySeptember 9, 2013

Hi everybody.

We ordered a 36" BlueStar range as part of our kitchen renovation. I'm really excited to be getting it - it will be delivered 9/21. The only problem is, our kitchen won't be ready for it until mid-November. I'm planning on storing it in our garage where a small amount of work will also be done as part of the kitchen reno. Any tips/suggestions on what I should do to store it during this time? I'm planning on covering it with a tarp during the construction, but want to make sure I do everything possible to protect it. Also, I'm planning no un-boxing the range when it arrives to make sure everything looks good (no damage...). For you BS owners out there, how difficult would it be to re-package the range after inspection? Thanks!

Mine came shipped bolted to a wooden pallet, with a heavy cardboard box covering. The cardboard was stapled to the wood pallet, by removing the staples it can lifted off for inspection, and replaced. Keeping the range bolted to the pallet will aid if the range needs to be moved around at all during storage/construction.
