Substitute for Wolf cutting board for 48" w/ griddle

CT_NewbieSeptember 11, 2013

Hi! I want a cutting board to fit over the griddle of our Wolf 48" range top. We haven't ordered the appliance yet but it is $95 to buy the one from Wolf. Has anyone bought one that fits from another vendor for much less? If so, what model/brand cutting board did you get and where did you get it?

Thank you!

I don't have so I've not done it, but you could find a cheaper board (suggestion: restaurant supply) and cut it to size. That said, you wouldn't be saving much and the Wolf isn't outrageous assuming it's a decent quality board. Probably cheaper than Boos. Personally I'd find somewhere else in my kitchen to save $40 or so.

Thanks! Given that I just bought a plastic cutting board from Ikea for a few bucks, $95 seemed expensive for a cutting board but good to know it is in range. What's odd is I just checked the subzero site and it lists a cutting board for $49. But maybe it is a stand alone cutting board, not one that is fit for the griddle
