brackets for washbasin

Hubert_TurnerOctober 7, 2012

I have a vintage Bristol-Pountney Utilus washbasin, but it needs special brackets to fix it to the wall. The cavity into which the bracket should fall is bent slightly inward, and is 18 cm from the back of the basin. Does anyone on the forum know what the original brackets looked like, or where I can order them?

Just a guess, but it may have had a metal stand instead - possibly with a parallel towel bar on each side.

Not that this will work, but here's an idea.

Hi Hubert. I looked the other day a little. Today I wonder if this link (below) and this porcelain type bracket might help you. 18 cm =7.2 inches. You may need to be creative in the wall mounting but it might fit.

Here's another type of wall bracket which deabath cast for more universal use on vintage wall sinks. Maybe this might help too.
