Help with bathroom design.

blakesblakeOctober 19, 2013

I am redoing my bathroom and am looking for some help in the new design. Here are some pictures of what it looks like now. I am placing a claw foot tub vertically against the far left wall which leaves me room to open up the shower. I am not sure what the best usage of glass and tile would be in this situation. I would like an open feel to the shower but don't want to use too much glass as cleaning would be arduous. Also I'd like to know what distance is customary to leave open between the tub and shower to make room for stepping in and out.

Here is a link that shows distances between fixtures. I often post this to threads because it is so descriptive.

Can you post a layout drawing of the whole space you've got available? Include details on what can and cannot move.
