Z-line vent hood?

momx9August 15, 2012

Anyone know anything about them? I see them on amazon, and on ebay (unnamed). They're pretty inexpensive, so I worry about the "you get what you pay for" factor. I searched GW and didn't find any posts about them at all.

Bumping thread.

Highly rated on Amazon, what say the GW folks? The price is only $300.

Don't know anything about Z Line. Another value brand is XtremeAir. It's a chinese import, but appears to be well built, good filter arrangements, and high CFM specs.

Just installed a Zline purchased from Amazon. Judging by the copious amounts of smoke and grease that still hang around my kitchen, the CFMs are waaaaaay lower than advertised, and it is quite loud at the highest speed. I will say, however, that it looks great. But if you want a vent hood that actually works well, I would recommend jumping to a slightly higher priced and more reliable brand. Hth.
