Making good use of a single marble slab in the bath

sriirvineSeptember 8, 2012

We have a 66" vanity, and a 60" tub that butts up to one end of a 36" x 60" shower which has a seat. The idea is that the marble would "flow" from the tub top and continue to the top of the shower seat. We found a great deal on a Carrera marble slab which is 97" x 76". The marble would be used for the tub top and would continue onto the shower seat.

The slab is small, but it looks like we should be able to do the vanity top and tub + shower seat except we would have a seam in between the tub and shower seat. But, the seam should be covered up by the frameless shower door.

Anyone see any potential problems with this? I'm going to go over this with our GC and fabricator just to make sure my measurements have enough slop in them to make the cuts. Just wanted to hear GW's opinion on this!
