The X just showed up.. everything seems to be working.
What is this X & how can I get rid of it.

Usually that indicates a driver issue and you can not connect, if the red x shows and there are now connection issues, reinstalling the network driver from device manager may clear the red x.

Jep,
I am connected now. I haven't rebooted yet. I hope when I reboot I can get back on. I'm going to save a few thing just in case. I already have a lot saved but need to go through & be sure I have everything I want.
