tub drain trap ~ plumbing help, please!
Our house is 1920's and I removed the old cast iron tub. As luck would have it, the new drain trap will need to be installed between 2 floor joists that are only 3 1/2 inches apart. I'm worried that, if we ever had a serious clog in the future, I would never be able to access the trap or be able to snake it out.
Any suggestions to present to my plumber? Should I ask him to create a "clean out" access in the overflow pipe, just in case? Should I be concerned?
The new tub is acrylic and will have a removable apron on the front.
