Bottom panel on kitchenaid dishwasher bent

Heather1970July 28, 2013

We picked up a kitchenaid dishwasher yesterday, the KUDE70FXSS. After unboxing it, we saw that the bottom black panels are bent in the middle. It was so symmetrical, we thought it was deliberate, but now that its installed, you can see a patch of insulation at the bottom center area where the panels are bent up. We have taken photos to show to the appliance store.
Can someone confirm to me that these panels should not have a bend in the middle? What would you ask for from the appliance store? New panels only? New panels and a partial refund?
I'm hoping they don't hassle us, since we picked it up from them and installed it ourselves. Hopefully they don't think we dropped it. Makes me kind of sick, we limped along with out old crappy dishwasher for years only to get a damaged kitchenaid.
