Freemake Video converter
It was tempting to add this to the other thread since parts of it seem similar. I have never tried any of those programs on the other thread.
In December, I learned of Freemake Video converter and for over a month, used it to download and burn movies from YouTube to DVD. Played on my Onkyo Upscaling player, most looked quite good-- all that I expect or need. The program worked well for over a month. Then the problem "dvdauthor.exe has stopped working"

The above was just pasted here- none of it has meaning to me.
CCleaner was used, the Freemake was uninstalled and downloaded again-- 4 times. Windows 7 and Mozilla Firefox on my computer, all updated automatically. Reviews of similar programs leads me to believe that there is none better than Freemake, whether free or for fee. Some of the paid programs get very poor reviews.
The DVD drive on the computer still works well for every other purpose with which it has been tested.
I really wish the Freemake was working as it once did.
