Happy With Shower Dimensions?
We're about to embark on a major redesign of our master suite, and in order to solve a number of problems, we're shrinking our shower. Currently it's a 2-person shower and I don't mind that we'll be reducing it to a 1-person shower but... just want to make sure the dimensions will work. The inside dimensions (as proposed) will be 3' x 4'2", or 36" x 50". There will be a corner ledge for leg shaving, and two niches along the wall furthest from the shower head (for shampoo bottles & soap). To make the room feel more spacious, generally, there will be a clerestory window on that same wall with the niches, up high. In addition, the shower head will be mounted on glass, hiding the plumbing in a 1/2 wall below. Frameless shower. So that's a total of 1-1/2 walls of glass surrounding the shower.
What do you folks think? Will we be happy with this? Or are we going too small?
