Your favorite holiday decor?

gwtamaraNovember 4, 2010

Hi folks,

Trees and tablescapes and mantles, oh my! If you have favorite pictures (past or present), we want to see them! It can be your fanciest, most elaborate tree ever or even the simplicity of a window decorated with your kids' paper snowflakes. We may feature them in an upcoming slideshow.

Any questions, please contact me via my profile page!

With best regards,

Tamara

This is from last Christmas. It's better in person because this is a little corner which leads into another room off the living room, so it stands alone.

Well....here are a few pictures to start:

My Snowman Tree with my childhood sled.

Santa relaxing to prepare for his big day.

One of my golf bag trees.

Santa Rug in living room, where most of the Santas hang out.

Some of the Santas in the living room.

Sorry about the size. I guess the pictures in this folder didn't get re-sized.

I will post some more later.

A couple more pictures:
this is one of the trees in my kitchen. It is "planted" in a tea kettle that I found at a thrift store and painted holly over the cornflowers around the bottom. It is decorated with salt dough gingerbread people I made years ago, faux peppermint type of candies, and lots of cookie cutters and kitchen items.

My foyer with the snowman tree and trees on either side of the front door.

Got to go now,

Candy, I love your snowman Christmas tree. Did you make him? I have never seen one before and would love to have one!

I like how he is positioned beside the stairs!

SC Kathy,
Yes, I made him in the early 90's and he has been a favorite of my family and guests since.

He was actually on the Angelo Surmelis HGTV show on 25 decorating ideas for the holidays for about 5 seconds. LOL

He is made from an artificial tree, fiberfill batting, and lots of birds, icicles, berries, pinecones, and a birdhouse coming out of his hat.

Thanks for asking,
Candy
