Kitchen Aid Micro/Oven combo-

tsn1010June 20, 2014

I had this oven installed almost 2 years ago in my vacation home. Have recently noticed melting on each side of the oven of some yellow plastic looking material.....Is this packing material that should have been removed in the installation? has anyone had this bad experience? I am dealing with the appliance store to see if they will make good on this, because there doesn't seem to be a way of removing it from the oven wall. Also. I am afraid of vapors leeching into the food......

I have the same issue with my one year old micro/oven combo. Did you ever find out what the cause is and what to do about it?

We have the same oven and no yellow plastic looking material on the inside of the oven. Have you looked at a display model in an appliance store for comparison?
