Wrap or Mirror Tile at Inside Corner

dsajJune 6, 2012

We are having our shower re-tiled. What is the proper procedure for tiling inside corners? Do you wrap the tile or mirror the tile on the walls that meet? My husband thinks the tiles should be mirrored on each adjoining wall, but our contractor insists that wrapping it, the way they've done, it is correct.

You do whatever looks best to you (the paying customer). If it's subway, usually the best look is wrapped.

I agree. Either one is fine, and in fact, I've done both at different corners of the same job because of how they looked at those corners. As hemera said-- whatever works for you.

It's 20x20 straight at the bottom and 13x13 on diagonal at the top.
