Vent-a-hood lighting failure

ellen76May 30, 2012

I have a vent-a-hood that was installed four years ago, and today one of the halogen bulbs blew. The trouble is, there seems to be something wrong with the wiring (or something else) as a new bulb won't work. I tried the new bulb in the other VAH socket, and it works fine there, so there is nothing wrong with the new bulb.

Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this?

Probably need a new socket for the halogen bulb if heat has badly messed up the contacts . Or perhaps the wires going to the socket have now come loose from vibration over the years.
