Ideas for xmas luncheon placesetting 'crafts'?
Hello! My parents are again in charge of doing the table decorations for their seniors' group xmas luncheon. This year my mother has asked me for ideas of something to make that can be placed at each tablesetting. It can be edible or not, but must be something that's very inexpensive and quick/easy to make. No idea of count yet, but think in terms of them having to make several dozen -- on their own nickel, IYKWIM. :)
I've been searching the net for many hours now, and so far I've come up with two suggestions for them:
1. applesauce-cinnamon tree ornaments, using a cookie cutter to cut xmas shapes strung on a ribbon. I thought they'd be cute and would smell really good. Recipe here:
2. snowmen ornaments made from wood scraps. I found this link and think they are super cute:
Does anyone have other ideas/suggestions of cute xmas-related things they could make to put at each tablesetting? I'd really like to come up with an idea for something that's edible... perhaps something made with hard candies or candy canes?
