Ideas for this year's card

glen_or_lindaNovember 15, 2003

I am trying to decide what to do for this year's Christmas card. We just moved into a new 'old' house so I thought I might combine the Christmas card into a kind of 'new address' card. Here is what I have done so far.

I am looking for an old Victorian feel but this is the only frame I could find in my program that worked even a little.

I tinted the photo of our house to make it look antiquiky.

That is all my brain could come up with .... any ideas or suggestions would be great.

Linda, when I clicked on your link it took me to a page with this message:

I would love to see your card! I am also working on my 3rd annual designed card. It's so much more fun than buying a box of cards at the store!

Oh dear,
Well, here we go again. It took forever to get up enough courage to try to post another picture again. Good Grief!
I think it has something to do with GeoCities. I need to try to find another place to store my pictures. Maybe it will straighten itself out later on.

Hmmm... I just accessed the Geocities rules for displaying my pages:

your page may have been suspended for violation of our Terms of Service, if any of the following statements are true:

Pulling files from your GeoCities account to a location outside of Yahoo! GeoCities, such as auction sites, message boards, and other web sites.
Using GeoCities for the sole purpose of storing files.
Nudity/pornography.
Registering for multiple accounts.
Using GeoCities for commercial purposes.
Using GeoCities for hate/defamatory purposes.
Using your GeoCities home page to redirect visitors to other sites.
Improperly promoting your website via email, message boards, or instant message (i.e., spam).

We have been traveling and not able to access the internet much for three years. I used to used GeoCities to post pictures here but I guess the rules have changed. Boy they don't let you do anything! What do you expect for free!?! LOL I am heading out to find a site to store my pics.

Well, I went the easy route and posted the pic at the Paper Arts Gallery. Hope this works.

Very nice- another frame inside with your new address, phone etc would work, and yet a third with Merry Christmas or some such- and enouugh space for a personal hand written note--- that should fill up November nicely!
