30' Gas Cooktop - limited by cutout dimensions
We're needing a new 30" gas (LP) cooktop and are limited by a granite counter cutout size of 28 1/4" maximum width and 19 3/4" maximum depth. (We don't want to alter the cutout and risk damaging the rest of the countertop.) High BTU for frequent pasta and stir fry would be useful. Simmers are probably just as frequent so low-BTU burner(s) are also desirable. Hoping to spend no more than $1,200 but only if the value is justified. (Though the Viking Professional Series is intriguing if someone can convince us that the extra cost is worthwhile.) The brand doesn't matter to us as much as the quality/burner flexibility/cleanability/reliability for the price matters to us. We were initially considering a 5-burner, but are now thinking that it might be too crowded, particularly if the high BTU burner is in the middle where the large pasta pot or wok would need to be... (We haven't yet taken the pot in person to an appliance store.) The following cooktops would fit in the cutout; does anyone have any experience with these or recommendations? Thanks so much!
Electrolux Wave Touch Series EW30GC55GS (we like the BTU flexibility, but don't like that the burners aren't aligned)
Frigidaire Professional Series FPGC3085KS
Kenmore Elite 3230
Viking Professional Series VGSU1044BSSLP
Dacor Distinctive DCT305S
