i'm remodeling the kids' bathroom. i can put in a 30" or 32" tub, and I can't decide which.

do those 2 inches make a real difference?

you would have to look at the interior dimensions of the tubs you are considering.

the 30" one has a 23 3/8" wide interior, the 32" has a 25 3/8" interior. I would go with the 32"

Yes. They really make a difference--more elbow room when showering.

For more elbow room when showering, try a curved shower rod with a shower curtain.

In our house, bathtubs are only used for bathing little kids. They don't need even the smallest of regular tubs. So we put in the cheapest cast iron tub that fit in our spot. If your tub will only be used for bathing small children, I wouldn't sweat the interior dimensions.
