Old delta shower valve

katgarr1May 10, 2014

I have an old delta shower valve in my wall. I cannot tell which one it is. I have tried 2 kits and neither have worked. Any idea what valve body was used in 1978? I really don't want to tear out this tile and the ugly crystal handle has got to go!

It would probably help to post a photo of the cartridge because they are different. We have about 88 delta showers in this complex all developed at roughly the same time. Our plumber has to take part of the cartridge apart at the knob end and tighten it up a turn. Wish I could explain better, but that is how he explains it to me.
