A question of style

I'm remodeling my guest bathroom. It's a standard 5' wide room with a tub across the far side. The tile is already in and is shown in the photo below. The cabinets will be a darkish cherry similar to the photo. I'm planning to replace the tub surround and the countertop with some sort of solid surface material, either Avonite or Onyx Collection. I'm stuck between two color options...

1 - Choose a surround and countertop that matches the floor. Onyx Collection has two colors that complement it really well (shown below). With this option I'd probably have to stay with a lighter neutral color on the walls?

2 - Choose a white surround and countertop and bring in a richer color on the walls. Would white be too stark against those other color choices?

I'm not really sure which way to go. Opinions?

I like the Driftwood and Bamboo. I would be worried about the white looking too stark.
