Our solution to the giant window in our shower.

VictoriaElizabethMay 21, 2013

I posted our (finally!) finished bathroom a while ago, but never got around to sharing our solution to dealing with the large window in the shower.

As we planned the new bathroom layout, (which involved moving the sink over to the same wall as the toilet,) we tried rearranging the shower location.

But the room is really narrow (the house was built in 1890) and we decided there was no good way to move the tub along the wall to free up the window.

We also considered putting in a smaller window, and moving it well above the shower area. We ended up keeping the large size⦠something that wonâÂÂt work for everyone, but if youâÂÂre looking for ideas, or trying to come up with your own solution, maybe this will help you figure out what might work for you.

Here is a link that might be useful: Window in shower-- our solution.

Very nice - lots of older homes have a window in the shower (in case you need a cool breeze while showering or like to flash the neighbors?) and your solution is lovely.
