Flooring options?

rph1234May 4, 2013

I'm currently building a house and I'm trying to decide what kind of flooring to use in my master bath. I will have old Chicago brick in the main parts of the house. I will either continue the brick in the master bedroom or maybe do wood. What is a good option for the master bath? I'm thinking about slate or maybe continuing the brick in there also. I will have a doorless walk-in shower that will probably be made of the same material as the floor. Are there any other options I should consider?
Thanks

Have you ever showered in a brick or slate floored shower? From what I gather, you need to ensure you have a very good quality slate or it smells 'dirty' when it's wet, and can release bits and pieces... I can imagine that brick might smell kinda earthy too, never tried one or the other, so take my 2 cents for what it's worth!
