Updating Roman tub and relocating plumbing
We currently have a shower that is a 1980s style roman tub, with 2 steps down. The entrance to the shower is also the end where the shower head is. That shower head is on an interior wall. It is a one story house, with the plumbing under a concrete slab.
We are thinking of raising the flooring and putting in a beach entrance to the shower. This would work best though if the shower head was on the opposite wall, which is an exterior wall. Would this be possible? Could the plumbing be run under the flooring that is being raised? Could it cause us problems later on? And, yes, would it be such a project that the costs would outweigh the benefits?
Thanks for any thoughts.
