? for Elux Speed Oven Owners

sarendsApril 20, 2012

We have a cabinet with outside dimensions of 29.25"

We would love to install the Elux High Speed oven over the top of an Elux wave touch oven. The speed oven specs say:

cutout width 22 3/8 - 22 7/8

This works fine for our cabinet.

However, the Elux Speed oven looks like it has a front plate that is 30" wide (event hough the oven itself is much narrower than 30"). Obviously this would more than cover the face of our 29.25" cabinet (by 3/4"). My question - could the front of the unit be cut narrower, specifically we would cut it back by 3/8" on each side.

I hope I am making sense. Thanks!

Did you find any specs for the "Face place" kit on the Elux web site, that might give you more specific actual sizes for that piece of it, it is sold separately (I think) from the main unit.

Here is a link to one of the PDFs for specs, looks like their face plates might be included:

From the looks of the pdf, and from what I can tell, there doesn't seem to be a trim kit - it looks like the trim is attached to the microwave (perhaps) permanently. That is why I was curious if the face plate might be able to be trimmed. Thx

I would agree with that, but I think in that PDF it shows the exact specs so at least you can see the exact measurements.

I don't know if that PDF is for the model you are looking at so keep that in mind.
