Coffee Makers A-Go-Go! Which Pots are Best?

If people, today, had to make coffee the old-fashioned way they would lose their minds because it takes a bit of time to make it like that. We don't remember when Mr. Coffee was the "it" coffee maker to have or when the automatic drip was a revelation. Also, back in the day, there were very few brands of coffee like Folgers and a few others. Then the younger people of today have the luxuries of being able to drink almost any kind of coffee - at home even. Things are not as simple as they were back in the 60s when it comes to coffee; so if you wanted to shop for a new coffee maker, then what's the optimum approach so it doesn't take a month to figure out everything?
