Cleaning Countertop Seams?

mailfox7April 25, 2011

I have light quartzite countertops that have begun to show dark "crud" for lack of a better term in the seams. I've tried the normal warm soapy water, the 50/50 alcohol mix and even the thumbnail action, but no luck. Ha anyone found a way to clean the seam?

The best way to keep your granite counter tops looking good is to perform your granite counter top cleaning after each use. Wipe down the counters with a non-abrasive sponge or damp rag after each use.If the counter tops are sticky, spray the granite with a neutral PH granite cleaner after the initial wipe down. (NOTE: Always test your granite cleaner in a small inconspicuous area prior to use on the entire surface to determine if the product is suitable. After cleaning the granite counter tops, dry with a soft, clean rag.
