Mud stains on Marble - help!

scoutyyyMarch 12, 2012

I have these carrara marble slabs that I have been saving for a counter top but just saw them and noticed they seem to have gotten damaged by dirt and mud while in storage. The stains seem fairly deep, I tried to rub them with water and a rag and they are set in there. They are dark, light brown and even reddish in color.

Is there hope for cleaning or restoring them?

Sorry - can't get picture to load
