Hazy mirrors

artgirl731March 4, 2007

I need to know is there any remedy for removing the haze from mirrors. They are new mirrors, so when a cloudy appearance started to appear I rubbed in vain but the hazyness is still there.

If the haze can be attributed to hair product spraying then use straight ammonia.

I know the frustration about hazy mirrors. Try a mixture of 3 parts white vinegar to one part water. Use a clean cloth (wrung out twice) to wipe mirrors and then dry with scrumpled up newspapers. That's what they used to use in the olden days and they had sparkling windows.

Yeah, me too! Drives me nutty. I've been using witch hazel from the drugstore. I read that somewhere, and it's been working for me.

I have heard that if you use Shaving Cream- it will clean the windows and act as a de-fogger for future showers. The great thing is that you can get a can for $1 at the dollar store.

Here is a link that might be useful: Bleachlady
