Pledge or Endust or Neither?

happylady1957February 7, 2012

Hi All,

I currently use only microfiber cloths to dust my wooden blinds and furniture, but it seems to be a losing proposition, as the dust comes back in a few hours. Admittedly, this is dark wood I am talking about.

In any case, I would like to try Pledge or Endust. Supposedly, Pledge does not build up because it has no wax, but I've heard that the silicone can build up.

What do you all use. I'm sick of dusting every day.

Lightly fine mist microfiber cloth with water and it will work well and not wet the wood. Once a week will not hurt, don't do this daily. Lemon oil would work well, a small amount on microfiber cloth, do not want to make things oily.

Well, I have to admit, I used the lemon Pledge on a micro fiber cloth, and those blinds look great! I will try a fine mist of water next time, though, so I don't risk build up.

Really wet your hands, and then dry them on your clean dust cloth. Then dust with it. See if that is the answer for you.

Another vote for Endust.

I have always heard that Pledge leaves a build-up on wood furniture.
