What style weathervane would you put on garage of my Georgian?

threeapplesFebruary 26, 2012

the main portion of our house will have a cupola and we want to put a weathervane on a small platform on the attached garage of our home, but I can't decide what type. A sailboat, witch, horse and buggy, all seem very wrong. Is a rooster the best choice? We live in the midwest, the house is on a wooded lot, and we don't have any hobbies we want to reflect on our roof. haha. Any suggestions? thanks.

An arrow or an American eagle would be fairly accurate (although the eagle is Federal not Georgian).
