Battery remote change

paddleDecember 8, 2010

I'm changing the batteries in my GM van remote entries.......does it need to be reprogrammed at the dealership or will it continue to work?

It's a 1996 express

Oh Oh, It's been sitting empty for 2 hours :(
I just wrote down the battery # and put the old one back in till I get new ones.
If it does not work when I put new ones in, can I reprogram it? or must I take it to the dealer?

You might be lucky. I should work. Try it. If all else fails read the directions that came with it.
