layout ideas for new basement guest ensuite

bethcwMarch 28, 2012

Hi All,

We are currently adding a basement guest bedroom with bathroom ensuite. My contractor is not great at helping with function / layout. He is good at building things though! So, the bathroom layout is up to us to decide. For cost purposes, we would like to use a prefab. vanity/sink in a standard size rather than custom cabinetry.

The space is actually quite large - will be the biggest bathroom in the house! However, I am not sure how to lay it out.

It will be 7 ft. wide x 8.5 ft. long. The door will be a pocket door on the short, south wall.

We can do anything we want, since it is an unfinished basement space. There are no windows.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!?
