Ideas for keeping sinks from splashing

ZengleMarch 24, 2014

We are seniors at Twin Valley High School, located in Berks County, PA. We are currently enrolled in the course Engineering Design and Development (EDD). For this class we have to define and justify a problem and then set out to solve the problem by either innovating or inventing a device, creating a prototype and testing it.
We have identified a problem with sinks splashing water on the countertop when washing your hands and doing dishes.

We have come up with two ideas that could prevent sinks from splashing, and would love your input on our ideas. Please fill out this survey, it is only like 7 questions. Thank you!

you know - you could just use less water pressure and rub less vigorously.
